IMTP Packing

FP IMTP ring

Developed in the late 1970’s, IMTP random packing combines the advantages of saddle shape packing with that of modern high performance packing. The typical geometry ensures a low liquid hold up and a significant improvement in capacity compared to pall rings.

Key Characteristics

  • Equivalent to IMTP Ring
  • Low-pressure drop and high capacity allows for smaller column diameter
  • Excellent efficiency characteristics over a wide flow range
  • High strength to weight ratio
  • Reproducible performance regardless of column dimension

FP-IMTP Ring Applications

  • Acid gas removal
  • Gas Sweetening
  • NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) treatment
  • Demethanizers
  • Atmospheric and high-pressure distillation
